The incident caused death of four soldiers that happened in Hakkari on 30 August 2009 made us deeply sorry. The incident happened in a period on which there is a discussion, in all levels of the country, about peaceful and democratic solution to the “Kurdish Question” in Turkey.
First of all, we would like to express that we share the grief with families of soldiers who died in the incident.
We think the incident, which happened in period of discussion about peaceful solution to the Kurdish question, is unacceptable no matter who is the perpetrator.
We underline that everyone should know each death makes reaching the solution more difficult. Everyone should take care to provide a de facto situation without armed conflict. Everyone should make more effort for a peaceful and democratic solution to the question.
We wish that our demands for peace will reach to heart and conscience of people, who expect something from war and violence. We do not want more deaths and crying mothers anymore.
