There is a high risk of an intervention by security forces to Kucuk Armutlu in Istanbul where death fasts by prisoners relatives and temporarily released prisoners take place. Neither the Human Rights Association (HRA) mission nor any other organisation are allowed to enter the region to make observation.
The HRA is very mcuh anxious about the potential outcomes of a possible intervention by security forces.
Recalling brutal outcomes of the 20th December intervention to 20 prisons in Turkey, we would like to invite urgently all international organisations to appeal Turkish Minister of Interior and Prime Ministry to stop seizure and to avoid any inhuman results.
