“World Constitution” or Charter of the United Nations states that
This is an unconditional order that cannot be interpreted in a different way.
Charter of the United Nations allows using force just there is an issue of “self defence” fact. Apart from such a condition; attacking (intervention) to another country, grounding arguments “national interests” or “concerns for foreign policy”, is a direct violation of international law. Moreover; such an attack is identified as “attack” crime, which comes within sphere of duties. Therefore; not only the State but also state officers, who decide and implement war, will be responsible for attack.
Such policies, which based on (forthcoming) election preparations and ethnic nationalism, will cause more painful problems in the region that has already big problems because of invasion and inhuman implementations. Moreover; attack will cause these problems’ extension into our country and new war atmospheres.
We, who defend peace-human rights under any circumstances, do not want new wars and attacks. We will not observe passively the attempts to attack that based on arguments of election preparations-ethnic nationalism. We call for all antimilitarists, peace-human rights defenders to be not silent against these attempts.
We call for Turkish Grand National Assembly, as institution, and all members of parliament, as individual, to take action in the side of peace-human rights and prevent such an attack.
