Today we all shuddered with the news of 16 soldiers were killed, 16 soldiers were injured and 10 soldiers were missing in the Dağlıca region of Hakkari and in another incident 14 citizens were injured in a mine explosion.
We share the sorrow of the families and denounce such bloody incidents.
We, as human rights defenders, once again mention that;
Armed ways can not be a solution.
PKK should immediately capitulate,
We invite the government to leave the discriminative policies and take the initiatives for a political solution in Kurdish problem.
We all fear that Turkey is being led to civil war with every bullet fired and with every mine exploded.
Our peace demands should echo in the heart and wisdom of those who still think that war and violence can be a solution.
