According to information available to the Human Rights Association (İHD) from press coverage of operation carried out in Iraqi city of Tal Afar by the US-led occupation forces, many people were killed and it was reported that these forces have used chemical weapons during the attack. The attacks and the use of chemical weapons are clear violations of international covenants and contravening the principles of humanitarian law, especially the Geneva Accord.
The United States and other occupation forces should end immediately the attacks and the occupation in Iraq. The Iraqi peoples’ right to determine their destiny should be respected.
Our association that is against all kind of attacks, violence and war is strongly condemns the recent attacks carried out in Tal Afar.
