TO THE CHIEF PUBLIC PROSECUTOR OF DIYARBAKIR EMERGENCY
Halil Güneş, who applied to our associatioin via tele-fax on 8 September 2008, declared as follows:
“I applied to your branch once before, on 27 May 2008. When I applied to you, I had declared these: I had imprisoned in Diyarbakır province in 1993 because of political issues.I was tried. I was sentenced with life imprisonment. I stayed in Diyarbakır E Type, Urfa E Type, Halfeti E Type, Diyarbakır E Type, Elazığ E Type, Ulucanlar, Adıyaman, Diyarbakır, Elbistan Ceyhan M Type, Kürkçüler/Adana F Type, Elbistan, Ceyhan, Diyarbakır D Type prisons in turn.I was tortured in Diyarbakır TEM Branch. The torture implementations such as bastinado, Palestine hanger, being waited in the Wheel, squeezing testicles (the most torture type that is applied on him), cold water, pressure water, beating, starve, to lie on concrete were applied on me during 29 days repeatedly. I was brought to the State Hospital of Diyarbakır for two times (I was brought when they saw the bleeding). They gave me serum and hypodermic needle. After we returned, they carried on the torture. After the PET-BT medical report diagnosing ostaeosarcosis (bone cancer), on the seventh left costa, enlargement and selerotic values were observed. They wanted me carry out a biopsy for treatment, on November, 2007 they diagnosed the bone cancer. But they didn’t launch the treatment. I was sent to the Dicle University because there was no detention ward in Çukurova University (Adana). I want my biopsy conduct and I want to be treated as soon as possible.
Now my situation has even gotten worse. In the report issued after the 27.08.2008 dated computerized tomography, ostaeosarcosis has been diagnosed ( a.k.a. bone cancer ). In each lung, the largest being in left lung bottom lobe anterobasal segment and of 8 mm in diameter, numerous nodules have been detected. A couple of the nodules are subpleural resident. In the left lung top lobe lingula, subsegmentary atelectasis has been detected. Right hiler (belong to Hilus) enlarged lymphatic nodule has been detected. The thorax wall and soft tissues are in natural look. The heart is of normal localization and size. Bilateral pleural pathology is not present. In both lungs, numerous nodules ( close watch is suggested for metastasis ), right hiler enlarged lymph nodule, left lung top lingula subsegmentary atelectasis result. Last year’s “ in PET / BT: Seventh left costa, enlargement and selerotic values are observed “ and is reported as such. With the fact that I have no formal medical knowledge on the present reports, they have said I am in no good condition. I hope I am. Because the thought that cancer exists in both lungs is prominent. And has the inclination to spread. I, with the help of yours, am good and high in morale as always. Like, “ Ill weeds grow apace”. I’m waiting for your help.With my best loves and regards…
Halil Güneş, who is imprisoned in Diyarbakır D Type prison and his illness is notably getting worse, is waiting for help. It is not enough to be cancer or to be in deathbed for being forgiven in this country. But Dear President forgave Necmettin ERBAKAN to keep his word to him. Why do a lot of people getting ill when they are imprisoned, (though they are healthy before it)? The imprisoned and the apprehended who get serious disease aren’t treated or they are treated too late and incompletely. All these reasons, the unhealthy cirsumstances of prisons, invective, mal nutrition get the imprisoned, who have serious diseases, to the death. The authorization of this country who settled in Ankara are deaf to the voice of public; but not to military and ERBAKAN. There is only an explanation of that the Ministry of Judge doesn’t look for a solution: Double Standard. Halil güneş has a serious illness. We demand that the the proceedings must start for his treatment, his recovery and his being FORGIVEN as soon as it is possible.
